Upper Hunter MP Micheal Johnsen supported failed bid to freeze wages.

The upper house has successfully blocked a bid to freeze the wages of 410,000 workers in NSW by the Berejiklian government.

Michael Johnsen Local Nationals Member for the Upper Hunter voted in support of freezing the wages of local public sector workers.

Micheal Johnsen was quick to take a PR photo shoot as concrete was being poured at the new Murrurndi Hospital a few days day ago on June 2nd, but no mention or comments about his intentions to support a wage freeze.

We did reach out to Mr Johnsen for comments but we are yet to hear back from him or his office.

Hunter Labor MPs have been very vocal on their intentions to block the wage freeze and along with the shooters fisher party and the greens have voted to block the wage freeze.

Great news!! The Berejiklian Government’s proposal to introduce a wage freeze for over 400,000 public sector employees has been blocked.

Member for Cessnock Clayton Barr

The NSW Government is planning on taking the matter to the Industrial Relations Commission to push ahead with their plan freeze wages of all NSW public sector workers.
