USING FAKE PROFILES TO DISCREDIT OPPOSING VIEWS ONLY MAKES YOU LOOK STUPID

Recently we blocked an account from our page as it’s obvious that the account is fake, so obvious it even says it the bio.

The account goes under the name off Noli Field and claims to be conquering miss information in Maitland, one post at a time.

There is no doubt in my mind that this account is controlled by a Maitland Labor Councillor or Candidate or even the Mayor herself could be behind this spineless account, however I don’t think even Mayor Baker would stoop this low.

There might be a link with Cessnock Councillor DI Fitzgibbion who had interactions in the comment section with the fake account on MHV NEWS, but that was more than likely just a random encounter.

We may never know who the pathetic keyboard warrior is behind the account is, but if I was a betting man I know who I would put my mooney on being behind the account.

The account has been banned on Philip Penfolds page, Our Maitland and MHV NEWS, only left leaning ACM papers have not banned the account.

The account made a public post complaining that they have been banned, they said they were banned from naming the owner of MHV NEWS, that is miss information you were infact banned because your account is fake

The rise of independent news across the Hunter certainly has Councillors and Politicians concerned as they are more accountable for their actions more than ever before, so much so they are creating fake profiles in an attempt to discredit anyone with opposing views.

Rest assure as the election gets closer, councillors will become more desperate and we will see more and more fake profiles created.
