JOHN RENSHAW DRIVE ROAD WORKS TO BEGIN 17/03/21

Transport for NSW has engaged Council to undertake upgrade works on a 2km section of John Renshaw Drive from Lings Road, Buttai to the Hunter Expressway. The works are part of the NSW Government’s $12.4 million project to improve the 10km stretch of road between the M1 Pacific Motorway and the Hunter Expressway.

Construction is expected to take 12 months and will commence next Wednesday 17 March 2021. Works will be carried out from 7am to 5pm, Monday to Friday with occasional Sunday to Thursday night work from 7pm to 5am.

Short delays should be expected, with lane closures and a 40km/h speed limit in place during work hours. A temporary 60km/h speed limit will be in place outside of work hours for the duration of the project.
