Emergency services responded to a deliberately lit grass fire on Bishops Bridge Rd around 10pm Saturday night (27/02/21), upon arrival firefighters found illegally dumped household items well alight in long grass.
Fortunately, with all the wet weather lately, this grass fire had not taken off, allowing fire fighters to quickly extinguish the fire.
One resident said this kind of activity is nothing new for this area and he almost lost his property back in 2017.
