COPPER THIEVES CAUGHT RED HANDED

TOMAGO
Three men have been arrested during a break and enter at an industrial warehouse in Tomago on 09/05/21. The men broke into the warehouse in an attempt to remove a large amount of copper wire from the location.

Police arrived after a tip off and arrested one male leaving the premises and located another male hiding. A third man was arrested after returning to the scene with a vehicle that was to be utilised to take the stolen wire away.

During the investigation police made enquires into a second break and enter in similar circumstances and were able to identify two of the same men to be responsible. All three men were charged in relation to their roles in the offence with extra charges being laid in relation to the additional offence. They will appear in Raymond Terrace Local Court on 7/06/21 in relation to the matters.
