A man is lucky to be alive after he flipped his ute and crashed into two parked cars on Wollimbi Rd last night.
Witnesses quickly rushed to the man’s aid and pulled the man out of the ute, once the man was out the some of the local residents became verbally angry with the man as it was quite apparent the man was intoxicated.
One resident could be heard saying ” you could have killed someone”
Police attended the scene and the 53-year-old man failed a road side breath test and was taken to hospital for a secondary test.
Cessnock police are investigating all factors that contributed to the crash including alcohol, fatigue and speed.
