LEVEL TWO WATER RESTRICTIONS REMAIN IN PLACE FOR SINGLETON IN SPITE OF GOOD RAIN

Level two water restrictions are to remain in place for Singleton in spite of good recent rains throughout the States Hunter Region.

Gleenies dam is up 2%, bringing it up to 46.6% of its full capacity according to Singleton Council.

We understand that for restrictions to be eased, the dam would need to be over 50% full to consider winding back to level one restrictions.

Glennies Creek Dam has a capacity of 283,000 megalitres, about half that of Sydney Harbour.
