CESSNOCK 2019/20 TIP PASSES EXTENDED

If you have not already thrown out last years tip passes you still have time to use them without using your new ones. You will receive new tip passes with your next rates installment.

Councillor Ian Oslen has pushed for tip passes to be extended due to the tip being closed for a month during the Covid lockdown. The facility was closed from Friday 3 April and reopened on Monday 27 April. Last night, Councillors voted to extend last years passes to end of July.

As I know that the labor councillors won’t support any motion I put forward, I was smart enough to ask for 3 months extension and as I expected and told the Advertiser I was expecting an alternative motion and they did put up an alternative which was an extension of only one month”
